Sapa is a charming town in the mountainous region of northern Vietnam, known for its stunning natural beauty, cool climate, and vibrant ethnic culture. Surrounded by terraced rice fields and majestic peaks, it serves as a gateway to the area’s many trekking routes and ethnic minority villages.
Y Linh Ho is a small, picturesque village located in a deep valley along the Muong Hoa River. It’s inhabited by the Black Hmong people, known for their dark indigo clothing and intricate embroidery. The village is surrounded by lush green rice terraces and offers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the Hmong community.
Lao Chai is another Black Hmong village nestled in the Muong Hoa Valley. It features expansive terraced fields and traditional stilt houses. The villagers are known for their handicrafts, including textiles and silver jewelry. It’s a place where visitors can experience the Hmong culture up close and enjoy stunning views of the valley.
Ta Van is home to the Giay ethnic minority and is located further down the Muong Hoa Valley. This village is known for its cultural diversity and picturesque landscape. The Giay people live in wooden houses on stilts and maintain a unique cultural heritage. Ta Van offers homestay experiences where visitors can immerse themselves in local traditions and hospitality.
Giang Ta Chai is a Red Dao village characterized by its beautiful surroundings and traditional customs. The Red Dao people are easily recognized by their bright red headscarves and colorful clothing. The village is surrounded by bamboo forests, waterfalls, and terraced fields, making it a peaceful and scenic destination.
Su Pan is a small, remote village located at a higher altitude, offering breathtaking views of the terraced fields and valleys below. It’s inhabited by the Hmong and Red Dao people. Su Pan is less visited by tourists, providing a more authentic and tranquil experience. The village’s serene environment and traditional way of life make it a perfect place to unwind and appreciate nature.

6am: Arrive in Sapa. Pick up at bus transfer to Golden villa sapa by our tourguide for breakfast and quick shower.
12 km of trekking, visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority. after lunch at a local family in Lao Chai or in a drinking shop nearby the river bank, we keep on hiking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we stay overnight in a local family. Here you have opportunity to experience their daily life, work and original custom.

Breakfast before starting tour with 14 km walking to visit 2 villages of the red Dzao, the H’mong (Giang Ta Chai & Su Pan). Visit a beautiful waterfall and rattan bridge. Enjoy landscapes... through bamboo forest on the way to the main road to get the Car to return to Sapa.

Located at 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha mountain town is well-known by travelers with the most colorful market of the hill tribes in the North of Vietnam. This every-Sunday-market attended by at least 8 ethnic groups and last from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. It is also chance for tourists to discover the H’mong King’s palace (old building built by the French & Chinese).
In the afternoon, we go for a light trek to visit Ban Pho, the village is home to flower H’mong minority. We are invited to enter several local houses to have some green tea, corn wine, listen to the host talking about their family, talk to them... and then enjoy landscapes on a roundabout way to Bac Ha for get back to Lao Caito catch the train/ bus to Hanoi.
